Provide IT Computer Services Department with technical support in the management and operation of the computing environment through the effective use of standard monitoring tools, processes and procedures needed to achieve highly available computer services in Aetnas Mainframe, Midrange, Distributed/Server, Network and Intranet/Internet WEB environments.

This candidate will need to be able to work both Saturday and Sunday. This will be a 1st shift position.

Fundamental Components:

Activates, checks out, monitors, shuts down and recovers platforms, applications and databases. Demonstrates effective use of Mainframe/Midrange/Online scheduling tools to manage and monitor batch jobs for business applications. Proactively monitors and analyzes system events to mitigate risk scenarios and ensure stability of applications and computing infrastructure.BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

This is an entry-level IT position - College Degree preferred.

Technical Support experience preferred.

Demonstrates teamwork, positive attitude and good rapport with peers and customers.


The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
