Aetna IT Project Manager in Amherst, New York

Reporting within the IT organization, this position functions heavily in a business facing manner interfacing with IT to deliver key business projects with technical components. The PM will lead, mentor and guide the work of project team members during the project lifecycle.
Managing the delivery of 2-3 medium to large sized projects, all with an IT component and business impact. Will spend majority of time guiding project teams to deliver work against a defined methodology and project schedule. Communication to multiple levels of stakeholders, and be able to lead team members through roadblocks, creating alternate solutions and keeping the schedule and budget within approved guidelines.
Experience with a project management lifecycle and concepts
Experience managing projects according to a defined methodology and governance.
Experience managing resources in a matrix environment
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
