The WorkLife Consultant (WLC) is part of the WorkLife Team and provides consultation, assessment and resource referrals to a variety of customers for a variety of needs including child care, elder/adult care, and basic/everyday needs. This team is part of growth of the Resources for living team! This is an exciting time to join!

Telework will currently only be considered for current internal teleworkers in EAP (Employee Assistance Program) only. Option for possibility to telework for any others will be evaluated based on business need and only after a certain period of employment (approximately one year).

Hours range is from 7:45am to 9:15pm Eastern Time, will need flexibility in your schedule, Monday-Friday!

Fundamental Components:

The work life consultant is responsible for providing Work life consultation and informational services to members and plan sponsors. The most frequent requests received are around child care/children with special needs, elder/adult care, basic/everyday needs, and mental health. Due to expanded new business, elder care is anticipated to be the top requested need. The work life consultant assesses needs, proposes options and researches/screens potential community service providers to meet the assessed needs. You will provide resource referrals, and coaches individuals on how to use resources to handle various life and work situations. You will appropriately documents member interactions and research/case fulfillment in the system. This role works in a call center environment and completes outbound phone calls and research in between taking calls from the inbound queue. Not all calls will be research/referral oriented. Some calls may be more administrative or customer service oriented. Additional responsibilities assigned based on business need.


1-3 years experience in social work or social/human services is preferred (case management, clinical/hotline/medical or Behavioral Health setting). Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented telephonic call center environment. Helpful but not required: Experience/knowledge of EAP/Behavioral Health and/or Elder Care Spanish speaking would be a plus!Bachelors Degree is required!


The education needed for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree.
