Data Products are used for benchmarking, for creating recommendations, for predictions, and for reference. Data Products incorporate data science, informed data models, and algorithms into the operation of a product or service, using data in smart ways to provide value. It s not just about analysis or business rules. It s putting insights into production. We are looking for an experienced Product Director to drive ActiveHealth's next generation Data Products strategy. You will define our partnership strategy and will design, implement and manage new alliance relationships. You have excellent communication skills and judgment and are comfortable evangelizing ActiveHealth's data products as a thought leader with a wide range of senior business and technical leaders internally, and at our partner companies. You will accelerate revenue growth, increase medical cost savings, improve customer satisfaction, and build loyalty by incorporating data in smart and innovative ways. The ultimate vision and strategy will be up to you, working in conjunction with leaders across the organization. You will work closely with alliance partners, Technology, Solution Owners, and Business Development to make sure opportunities pursued are technically feasible, strategically aligned and, most importantly, raising the bar on the ActiveHealth customer and member experience. You must also navigate an array of complex legal, regulatory, compliance, and global information security requirements. You will be responsible for translating the customer voice as you work with design, technical and business leaders to set strategy and define products. You will then be responsible for leading tactical execution, including working with business analysts on requirements writing, prioritization, measuring success metrics, and go-to-market team members. You must be able to appropriately balance risks of speed to market with delivering in a complex, highly regulated industry.
The successful candidate will be a tenacious, ambitious, self-starter with a passion for the power of data that will transform the lives of health-conscious consumers, the employers they work for, and the providers that help them. You will have proven analytical capabilities, strong persuasive writing skills, deep technology understanding, broad business experience and the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in an environment that combines fast pace, new product development (especially the latest mobile technology), and mature enterprise technology.Job Responsibilities· Understanding and evolving the data requirements of consuming applications, both internal and external applications · Meaningful and efficient aggregation of data coming from different systems · Ingesting and integrating data from third-party sources · Creating and servicing data pipes with information based on reference, algorithms and business rules· Define and manage Data Products roadmap, balancing needs of customers, technology teams and business development partners.· Solve complex and ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks).· Define business plan, financial and operating metrics for success and failure and analyze and create dashboards for key metrics.
Basic Qualifications· BA/BS preferred in a computer science or an engineering related discipline.· MBA or Masters degree in a technical field or advanced course work in data science discipline.· Experience working with data products is preferred.· Familiarity with ICD-10, SMART, FHIR, Human, Fitbit or other health data standards and APIs.· Familiarity with the regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare.· 10+ years of experience in product management in large scale software development projects.· While you won t write code, you should be able to weigh technical trade-offs and have in-depth discussions with engineers on the nuances of complex enterprise systems.· Experience in agile, lean startup product management processes· Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position.Location: Boston or New York City
