The second opening will sit in our Peoria or Champaign, IL office location. We may consider telework, but in the Peoria, Champaign, or Springfield IL locations.


Position is responsible for developing and cultivating strong relationships with key constituents (producers, plan sponsors, brokers ) to maximize sales opportunities and achieve profitable growth in the < 100 self-funded/level funded segment, and may include the 51-100 fully-insured segment. 1 position will be aligned to the Kansas and Western Missouri geography, and 1 position will be aligned to the Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois geography.

Fundamental Components:

Oversees a block of assigned agencies/brokers to develop new business opportunities to ensure profitable customers and help grow the business through consultative selling, issue resolution and superior service. Ensures product, pricing and services meet client's needs while meeting Aetna revenue growth and profit objectives. Manages and builds producer relations as needed depending on book of business or market segment(s) being supported. Collaborates with internal partners and/or external constituents to uncover profitable growth and cross-sell opportunities within new or existing customers and to support post-sale activities. Coordinates sales materials, testimonials and subject matter expert involvement in support of the successful delivery of constituent presentations. May participate in constituent meetings including finals presentations. Develops/maintains and communicates expertise on products, industry and emerging marketplace trends.


1-5 years of experience in sales, health insurance industry, and distribution channel management. Experience marketing self-insured/level funded, and fully-insured products. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to cultivate distribution channel relationships. Ability to strategize, execute and deliver on results.


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
