POSITION SUMMARY

Develops service strategy to ensure renewal and growth of business and retention of members for assigned accounts.

Fundamental Components:

Meets growth, retention and profitability objectives and seeks opportunities for profitable growth for assigned cases. Acts as strategic business partner to customers and producers to optimize the positioning of Aetnas products and services and to attain profitability and membership objectives. Proactively identifies at risk accounts and collaborates with management to set and execute a strategy to minimize loss. Retains and cultivates a profitable book of business by working with underwriting and segment partners to develop and execute effective renewal strategies. Monitors on an on-going basis client's product lines and services and works collaboratively across business functions to ensure customer needs and expectations are understood and key issues are addressed. Follows through on outstanding issues to the point of resolution (e.g., claims and administration issues). Collaborates with team members on case installation to manage the integration of clients and Aetnas internal organizations, ensuring a smooth installation. Educates clients on Aetna specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current topics. Serve as the SME on the broad information as it pertains to the client and working with them to make sure proper administration of their plans. Collaborates with account team members and functional support areas on more complex product or service issues to ensure clients needs are met. Maintaining accurate client records including but not limited to client contact, enrollment strategy, product scope and renewal information. Responsibility for client specific reporting during the plan year and coordinating on-going meetings as needed.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Excellent communication skills. Strong motivational and leadership skills. Ability in working with team as well as individually. Ability to produce quality result in pressure situation. 4 to 6 years of account management experience or relevant work history required. Insurance license required with ability to maintain appropriate state license and appointment.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Telework Specifications:

Considered for locations outside of Columbia with travel into office as needed (ex. training). Considered for Columbia as part time telework (ex. 1 or 2 days telework).
