To identify and cultivate Preferred Producer relationships to provide with effective strategy and solutions that will allow Aetna to achieve positive sales results.

Fundamental Components:

  • Works with assigned national Producers. (*)

  • Determines the sales capability and effectiveness of existing and potential distribution channels. (*)

  • Work with assigned Aetna markets and regions to assist in all Preferred Producer-driven sales efforts. (*)

  • Marshals appropriate resources to effectively implement new strategies and products. (*)

  • Serves as the expert for assigned distribution channel business relationships maintaining awareness of industry,

    company, competitor, legislative and regulatory activities. (*)

  • Articulates business strategies to distribution partners to attain commitment. (*)

  • Works with distribution partners to evaluate and help close production gaps. (*)

  • May oversee and/or coordinate work with staff outside own area to ensure effective execution of distribution channel objective. (*)

  • Ensures all contractual, compliance and legal obligations related to distribution are met. (*)


    License as required by state laws.

    Minimum 10 years of Sales or Sales Leadership experience in Healthcare (Broker or Carrier side)

    Sales & Service/Distribution channel management/1-3 Years

    Sales & Service/Strategy development/1-3 Years

    Sales & Service/Sales administration, support, reporting/1-3 Years


    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
