Aetna Network Manager (Provider Contracting) in Dallas, Texas

This position will sit in either our Sugar Land TX, or Dallas TX office locations.

POSITION SUMMARY

Negotiates, competitive and complex contractual relationships with providers according to pre-determined internal guidelines and financial standards. Works cross-functionally to execute network strategies. Runs reports to review data, identify and maintain accountability for specific medical cost initiatives. Manage network adequacy and filing processes.

Fundamental Components:

Negotiate complex, competitive contractual relationships with providers according to prescribed guidelines

Manages value based provider compensation/reimbursement agreements

Responsible for understanding and managing medical cost issues and identifying and initiating appropriate actions

Provides sales and marketing support

Builds contracts in Strategic Contact Manager (SCM)

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Must be able to negotiate contracts with large provider entities

Must demonstrate strong leadership skills

Must have strong understanding of Aetna organization and be able to drive cross functional initiatives

Must have a bachelors degree

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
