Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our expanding Central Finance team as a Finance Associate. We are looking for the right talent to assist Finance manager in centralising the finance tasks here in UK, building up the strong processes in line with Aetna policies and standards, as well as assisting with the month end reporting, quarterly reporting and the year reporting on both US and local GAAP, dealing with the auditors in Singapore, Korea and UK. You will be required to work closely with Finance team in Singapore, Central Finance team in UK, operational and G&A teams in UK teams to understand the existing processes and improve where required by the revised Aetna policies within the responsibilities of central finance for both insurance and service companies.

Responsibilities of the role

  1. Assist with the centralisation of the regional work for SEA region (Singapore, Korea, Indonesia) and improve the current processes where required by the revised policies.

  2. Maintain the month end schedules, post month end GL journals to the point of monthly final TB on both US GAAP and local GAAP basis.

  3. Preparation of month end BS reconciliations in line with Aetna policy

  4. Assist with the Quarterly reporting for the Insurance entity in Singapore

  5. Assist with the interim and year end audits for 4 legal entities as well as internal audit

Experience desired

· Relevant practical finance experience

· Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macro books and V-Look Ups)

· Financial Systems such as Oracle Dynamics and Hyperion

Education

• ACCA / CIMA Part-Qualified

• OR Bachelor s Degree in a Finance Discipline and has surpassed exemptions

Background Required

· Insurance background preferable
