POSITION SUMMARY:Our undergraduate summer internships are a great way to gain confidence, sharpen your skills and make a difference. And many of our interns are offered jobs with Aetna after graduation.You'll work side by side with people who value your enthusiasm and creativity. Internships typically last 10, 40 hours a week, from June to August. You ll be assigned to a business area and work on tasks you would experience if you worked here full time. Interns also participate in:· A cross-functional project that provides solutions to a real business issue Aetna is facing, and the chance to present their recommendations to senior leaders at the end of the internship· Community service initiatives· Mentoring program· Networking events· The opportunity to learn about our businesses and get exposure to senior leadersThe International Division develops, underwrites, sells and services insurance products around the globe. Summer interns will have the opportunity to experience various aspects of our International team. While these internships are located in the US, the interns will be involved in functions and processes that span geographies, cultures and languages.Roles are available in a variety of areas including:· Global hospital networks· Product development· Sales and account support· Marketing· OperationsFUNDAMENTAL COMPONENTS:· Broad exposure to various projects and assignments designed to deliver real business results · The opportunity to learn about our business and get exposure to senior leaders· Participation in company-wide intern events including a cross functional Capstone project, networking opportunities and community service initiativesBACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:· Multi-language skills are a plus but not required· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Demonstrated strong interpersonal and results-orientated skills· Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously EDUCATION:· Current sophomores pursuing a bachelor s degree in business related majors, International relations, Communications· GPA 3.5+ (desired) ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION:Aetna is about more than just doing a job.
