This position directly supports the Territories mission to drive sustainable, long-term operating earnings growth. Individuals in this role will analyze complex premium, medical cost and SG&A data to support decision-making processes and provide insight that helps our business partners, our plan sponsors, and Aetna achieve their financial goals.
Perform ad hoc analyses of premium, medical cost, and SG&A outliers and lead/deliver special projects and requests to facilitate better understanding our business performance at the Executive level of the organization
Partner with market Finance teams, Actuarial, Underwriting, and MEU to examine premium yields and medical cost trends to better understand underwriting margin levels
Ensure appropriate connections between pricing, underwriting and planning/forecasting at the segment and market levels
Manage and drive understanding of business drivers across Territories Finance organization (Territories Performance Management leadership team and Market Finance leadership)
Assist in bridging gap between Financial Statement (FS) and Date of Service (DOS) results to support both financial accounting and performance analysis
Provide analysis, reporting, and commentary to support the quarterly Forecast Cycle and annual Plan Cycle
Support analysis and materials for the monthly Operating Committee (OC) meeting -Support analysis and materials for the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meeting
Bachelors degree along w/5+ years related experience
Strong Excel skills and presentation skills are required
Must have strong analytical skills
Any actuarial experience is highly desired
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
Candidate will report directly to the Executive Director of Territories Performance Management and be part of his leadership team. Position will have regular exposure to CFO, Chief Actuary, and Chief Underwriter of the Territories business. Work product will be used for executive level report outs. Candidates scope of business knowledge will focus on Commercial products but will also learn other businesses that are part of the market P&Ls (e.g. Medicare, Specialty, etc.)
