POSITION SUMMARY

This position will support Pricing for Aetna's Group Life Products, including underwriting and compliance support.

Fundamental Components:

The actuarial team is integral to the success of the Group Life products. Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Develop pricing factors for new product features and update existing factors;

  • Develop and manage pricing tools used by underwriting and sales;

  • Provide training to underwriters regarding pricing changes;

  • Provide support to underwriting and sales for non-standard pricing;

  • Prepare rate filings and assist with compliance related questions;

  • Lead medium sized projects;

  • Collaborate with multiple functional areas including Underwriting, Sales, Product, Compliance, Finance, Claim Operations;

    BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • Bachelor's degree;

  • ASA or FSA required;

  • 5+ years of actuarial experience;

  • Experience with Group Life is preferred, but not required;

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex analytical topics to different audiences;

  • Analytical and problem solving skills are critical to success;

    EDUCATION

    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

    Actuarial/Associate of the Society of Actuaries is required

    Actuarial/Fellow of the Society of Actuaries is desired

    Flexible telework / office-based schedule (can live near any Aetna office location)
