POSITION SUMMARY

Candidates should be located in Connecticut

Supports the delivery and administration of (assigned) employee benefit plans, programs, and related services

Fundamental Components:

Performs activities in support of the design and development of employee benefit plans and programs.

Participates in the planning of tactics for the delivery and administration of assigned Benefits.

Review Benefits Plan Expenses. Monitors and reconciles expenses. Prepares variance reports

Prepares accounting journal entries by compiling and analyzing information for ledger posting

Participates in vendor management activities (e.g. vendor accounting and expense management).

Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills

Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as: funds received and disbursed; totals accounts to ledgers or reports and databases.

Support financial information requests from business financial management. Assist with analysis of key components of financial results, identifying trends and variances; addressing questions as

Delivers and administers (or supports delivery and administration for) assigned benefits

Participates in reviews of benefits communication and training materials. Manages and ensures timely delivery of marketing and communications materials for assigned benefits.

Supports administration associated with integrating Acquisition employees. May participate in planning and implementing 401(k) asset transfers and terminations.

Provide oversight and perform appropriate balancing of all reporting to ensure completeness and accuracy

Manages special projects, as assigned, in support of unit priorities and/or professional development.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

1-3 years experience in the delivery and administration of employee benefits plans and services - including related financials, applicable laws and regulations, and tax filings.

1-3 years experience developing and managing expense budgets, preferably in support of Benefits plans.

Familiar with the use of statistical and market data research and analysis.

Proficient in the use of MS Excel and/or

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Education and Certification Requirements

HIAA or CEBS designation preferred.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or equivalent
