POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Privacy Operations will be responsible for management of privacy strategy, administration and tools and for providing leadership for the consistent improvement and optimization of privacy processes. This position will partner on a highly collaborative basis with other leaders in the privacy organization to provide tools, processes and improvements which support privacy compliance, risk management and strategic goals.

Fundamental Components:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Overseeing the identification and tracking of privacy key risks, metrics and data; integrate metrics into initiative planning and operations for optimal results

Managing and improving privacy policies, procedures, tools and forms

Managing privacy program administration to support compliance and risk management, including regulatory complaints, reporting, inquiries and audits, vendors, mailing and other communication processes, systems, data capabilities

Driving change in order to improve the operational efficiency, performance results, and organizational effectiveness of the privacy program within privacy and with key business and security stakeholders, including oversight of ABX initiatives

Managing the privacy training and awareness library and collaborating with privacy counsel to identify and implement improvements in training and awareness resources, delivery and tracking

Managing processes for regulatory change monitoring and dissemination

Managing key cross team initiatives including staff integration, system improvements

Acting as a resource to other privacy leaders and the privacy organization to support best practice operations and proactively identify opportunities for improvement

Assisting with financial management of the privacy program to meet allocated budget

Maintaining or developing a working knowledge of privacy and security regulatory requirements, risk issues and external environment

Managing staff including matrixed resources and leading teams

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

10+ years insurance industry and project management experience

Proven project management and organizational skills; experience with enterprise-wide or complex cross-functional initiatives and processes

Creating a culture of continuous improvement

Multiple years proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change resulting in demonstrated positive outcomes

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
