POSITION SUMMARY

Support Aetna's ability to achieve its financial and strategic goals through effective support of financial closing and reporting processes. Such activities drive the quality and integrity of P&L reporting, membership and balance sheet reporting. Direction is to provide financial analysis and recommendations in support of management's evaluation of strategic and business initiatives.

Fundamental Components:

-Provide data and analysis to support the I&PE organizational mission:

-Makes recommendations to support the business unit's mission.

-Provide oversight and perform appropriate balancing of all reporting to ensure completeness and accuracy.

-Assist with analysis of key components of financial results, identifying trends and variances; addressing questions as needed.

-Support financial information requests from business financial management including market partners.

-Participating in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed.

-Specific activities will include the following:

-Manage large amounts of data in the support of financial reporting and analysis.

-Support the monthly production reporting process.

-Become a SME in reporting matters as they relate to the Consumer Platform and the Financial Data Repository.

-Support activities related to CMS, DOI, and internal audit compliance.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

-2 years of finance related experience.

-Core Microsoft Office skills required.

-Experience working with large amounts of data (using Access, Hive, SQL, SAS) helpful.

-Hyperion experience also helpful but not required.

-Healthcare experience preferred but not required.

EDUCATION

-Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology
