You will leverage your passion for Business Intelligence to seek out and structure data to propel HR reporting and analytics capabilities forward. You will work closely with peers, other business areas in and outside of HR, senior leaders and AIS resources to understand information needs and build solutions to deliver the key metrics to business decisions and expand the content of the HR Data Warehouse. You will act as an acknowledged expert on HR reporting and will be responsible for analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support of the HR Data Warehouse and key reporting deliverables.
The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the HR data warehouse operations including reports and complex history data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR data, SQL, Business Objects reporting platform, and dimensional modeling to leverage data in order to create solutions that present data through reports, dashboards, scorecards, or KPI's. In addition, the candidate will serve as the key business resource to work with AIS to expand the content within the HR Data Warehouse based on business needs.
Designing structured multi-source data solutions to deliver the dashboards and reports that make data actionable.
Perform impact analysis of HR Data Warehouse and existing reports as changes are proposed or implemented in source systems such as UltiPro. Consult with other teams to help identify solutions to solve business needs while minimizing the impact to HR DW and other applications.
Driving the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources to continually improve data quality.
Supporting data analysts by turning business requirements into functional specifications and then executing delivery.
Leading the technical lifecycle of data presentation from data sourcing to transforming into user-facing metrics.
Work with IT colleagues to translate business requirements into a data model. Expand the content of the HR Data Warehouse based on business needs (includes working close with IT organization to identify specifically how changes should be implemented to ensure most reporting flexibility while minimizing impact to other data/reports).
Perform user acceptance/regression testing as new content is being added to HR Data Warehouse and hub common format files.
Supporting implemented HRDW solutions by monitoring and fine-tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues.
Evolving the HR Data Warehouse by working with IT and HR Leaders to develop a strategic roadmap for Data Warehousing and BI.
Advanced knowledge of SQL.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential.
Must be able to work effectively across multiple databases with wide range of reporting tools and have strong troubleshooting skills to identify the source of an identified reporting issue.
Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively with management on high level direction/decision-making as well as with IT/peers on very detailed, technical level.
Must be able to manage multiple initiatives at the same time, ensure all deliverables completed on time, work effectively with a dynamic team, adhere to project methodology requirements, etc.
Bachelor's Degree or higher.
Strong background in data relationships and data mining.
6+ years of growing responsibility, a passion for data in general, and data warehousing and business intelligence in particular.
3-5 years of Report design and development includes knowledge of HR data and systems.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
