POSITION SUMMARY

Complete a variety of payroll transactions within a prioritized work queue to ensure timely and accurate processing

  • Assist employees and management on payroll questions and payroll administration problems

  • Interact with HR departments to work towards a collaborative solution

  • Work as a team towards daily and pay close goals.

    Fundamental Components:

    The ideal candidate would be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll exceptions, benefit and HR transactions for a biweekly payroll of 50,000 employees in a fast-paced production environment. Other responsibilities would include the ability to research and become abreast of federal and state regulations, to calculate gross to net payroll deductions and offsets, a strong mathematical background and possess strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills as well as critical thinking skills. The ability to understand benefit programs and their payroll implications is highly desirable as well.

    The desired candidate should also have the ability to analyze and resolve complex payroll issues from employees, managers, and Human Resources Professionals, as well as possessing strong Excel and technical skills, with experience working on projects, collaborating across teams to improve processes, experience with process documentation, and prioritizing multiple competing priorities. The applicant should be a highly-motivated self-starter who has an interest in continually learning new processes. Finally, the candidate must have experience working with highly confidential and sensitive data as well as have a high level of integrity and work ethics.

  • Professional designation, Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred

    EDUCATION

    The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
