If so, consider the Senior Informatics Manager role. Reporting directly to the head of the Medicare Stars Business Intelligence team, this critical role is primarily responsible for leading Business Intelligence projects for 2 regions, bringing all Medicare Programs data in a single dashboard, ultimately to identify our strengths and pinpoint areas for improvement, and to drive processes that support programs critical to Aetna's Stars success.

Fundamental Components:

  1. Creates and evaluates the data needs of the assigned regions/ projects and assures the integrity of the data to support Medicare Stars business initiatives that drive short and long term objectives.

  2. Performing advanced SQL programming in the data warehouse environment including use of different analysis techniques or business intelligence application development.

  3. Performing complex analysis with large data sets from multiple data sources.

  4. Independently digging through the root cause of problems in Data, backend tables, databases, SQL code, programs and describing the nature of technical issue.

  5. Identifying trends and gaps with existing systems and processes. Identifying opportunities and proposing projects to improve systems, processes, and infrastructure.

  6. Publishing/ presenting the study results to Non-IT business folks

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • 10 or more years of healthcare, health insurance experience

  • SQL Experience (Must have) DB2 or SQL Server

  • Power user in one of the skill sets - .Net/Web, Tableau or SQL/ SAS (Mobile experience is a plus)

  • Ability to recognize complex problems vs. objectives and apply creativity to analyze situations, develop solutions

  • Strong problem solving, and data skills

  • Proactive Leadership

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
