POSITION SUMMARY

Recommend enterprise wide and/or cross-functional design solutions to address business problems. This work results in initiatives that impact company strategy enabling Aetna to be competitive in the marketplace and effectively service its customers. Provide expertise to the continued development and results of company-wide diversity initiatives. Build company-wide diversity capacity by guiding, directing, and supporting Aetna line staff.

Fundamental Components:

Design enterprise wide and/or cross-functional solutions to address business problems.

Provide leadership to the continued development and results of company-wide diversity initiatives and integrating diversity principles and strategies throughout business operations.

Drives or guides development of key strategic plans.

Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and independently influences business leaders to change behavior through negotiation and/or consultation that promotes issue resolution.

Fully integrates baseline and metrics tracking into initiative planning and executive for optimal results.

Work throughout organization as diversity business consultant and facilitator, promoting and influencing corporate-wide

initiatives to improve and leverage diversity.

Gathers, analyzes and synthesizes business.

Develop education and training curriculum for various employee populations.

Establish the infrastructure necessary to support the successful delivery of decentralized training.

Build relationships and provide expert counseling to various clients/groups.

Enhance and maintain management commitment through building awareness for the business case of diversity and ensuring basic conceptual clarity and integration.

Enhance ongoing business opportunities to stimulate company growth through partnerships and strategic alliances

with external businesses and organizations.

Develop and implement diversity communications strategies through collaboration with the corporate communication

group.

Continually identify barriers to the success of diversity.

Develop strategies and initiatives to address these barriers.

Assess opportunities to link diversity with on-going business and HR processes and initiatives

Develop strategies for outreach and relationship building with key professional/community based organizations for the

purposes of recruitment, brand equity, supplier diversity, and improved corporate citizenship/reputation.

Provide leadership to the continued development and results of company-wide diversity initiatives.

Build company-wide diversity capacity by guiding, directing, and supporting Aetna line staff and management in understanding and integrating diversity principles and strategies throughout business operations.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Proven ability and demonstrated skills in training design and delivery, group facilitation, organization consulting, change

management and project management.

10 years organization/management development/HR generalist experience, including 3-4 years of diversity/business

work preferred.

EDUCATION

Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Human Resources/HR Certification (Analytics,Consulting,Project Management) is desired

Project Management/Six Sigma Certification: Green Belt is desired

Human Resources/SPHR is desired
