POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Consultant is responsible for completing specific tax projects including analysis, calculations, compliance, research and report preparation. Additional responsibilities include supporting tax management and training less experienced staff.

Fundamental Components:

-Prepare complex Federal and/or State tax returns and related work papers.

-Review Federal and/or state tax returns and related work papers

-Prepare or review tax accounting calculations, book tax journal entries, and reconcile tax general ledger accounts.

-Identify, recommend and implement tax process improvements.

-Support Federal and/or state tax audits.

-Perform tax research and analysis for a broad range of transactions, including but not limited to merger and acquisition activity.

-Provide tax advice to internal constituents.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

-Minimum 2+ years tax experience in a large accounting firm, large corporate environment primarily in the areas of tax compliance and accounting, planning and research, and financial analysis.

-Effective problem-solving skills

-Knowledgeable in the areas of tax compliance, accounting, planning, research, business and financial issues, supervision and coaching.

EDUCATION

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
