The Risk Management Associate produces self-funded employer Stop Loss policies and manages the negotiation of policies by utilizing delegated response databases and selectively engaging Legal, the financial teams and other business decision makers in contract negotiations when standard responses are unavailable or will be insufficient.
Produce and negotiate new Stop Loss policies for all Aetna business segments; Manage Stop Loss database of all new business as well as complete book of business for various areas within Aetna. Track revision activity and produce policy updates as necessary; Oversee implementation of all new Stop Loss cases including audit of quote documents, completion of implementation documents and compliance with Stop Loss state laws and regulations; Assist in the education of internal and external customers on Aetna Stop Loss processes based on compliance requirements and information received from subject matter experts; Manage or participate in ad hoc projects (claim override audits, implementation workgroups etc.).
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:Experience in healthcare and/or Stop Loss contract drafting and negotiation; Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Time efficient and highly organized; Vigorous attention to detail.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
