The Technical Infrastructure Specialist position, on the Infrastructure Intake and Project Financial Tracking team, acts as the single point of contact for infrastructure for new and proposed projects. This highly visible position interfaces across all of infrastructure to insure project requirements and proposed designs are vetted and reviewed by subject matter experts. In addition, this position insures that labor and non-labor project costs are collected and presented for approval. By working across infrastructure and application delivery, as well as interfacing with Enterprise Architecture and Program Delivery, the specialist brings projects through to the point of financial approval and project initiation.
Technology Integration: Coordinate integration of all infrastructure support areas to provide input into designs of new and proposed projects.
Capacity Planning : Working across infrastructure support and engineering areas, ensure designs meet business requirements in the most cost effective manner
Application Integration: Lead requirements and design steps in a matrix environment for multiple projects or assignments in support of IT and business initiatives. Projects may impact mainframe, midrange, desktop, cloud based or remote implementations. Apply infrastructure review rigor to APLC (standard waterfall) or Agile/Scaled Agile methodology.
Project Implementation: Lead initial project phases through requirements, design and financial approval, setting up project for implementation success. Work with Implementation Manager through project life cycle to assess and process Project Changes Controls.
Financials: Lead the development of project estimates and budgets consistent with project design and deliverables. Work with Platform Product Management & other Infrastructure areas to develop estimates and manage ongoing reconciliation of project forecast and actuals. Familiarity with Hardware and/or Software products a plus.
Architecture: Apply technology strategy, management and support of business systems delivery. Participate and integrate with enterprise system architecture group in support of business systems delivery. Collaborate with infrastructure SMEs to research and provide infrastructure architecture strategies.
Vendor Management: Evaluate and support vendor relationships.
Financial experience a plus.
Strong leadership experience, ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities, effective management of resources and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Leadership experience, collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
Resilience in a changing environment, creative thinker.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
