Sales, account management and business retention for Aetna products and services in support of profitable growth and other business objectives.

Position Summary/Mission:

Develops service strategy to ensure renewal and growth of business and retention of members for assigned accounts. Develop new opportunities across Continental Europe with expected travel.

Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements:

  • Achieves individual cross sell, growth/retention targets and customer satisfaction levels

  • Creates collaborative partnerships with stake holders to develop a comprehensive growth strategy for assigned book of business that is aligned with customer s objectives, financial position and employee benefit strategy while providing profitable revenue and growth to Aetna

  • Acquires new customers through the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan.

  • Updates producers and other external constituents on Aetna Global s capabilities to create business opportunities. Delivers organized, polished presentations of solutions, with benefits tied to the constituent s business needs.

  • Builds and maintains productive relationships with brokers, consultants and plan sponsors.

  • Executes tactical components of the account team s business plan for each customer. Demonstrates proactive ability to diagnose and fix root cause drivers of service problems

  • Develops and manages service plans in the most proactive and strategic manner possible, and finds new and innovate ways to show customers the value of the products and services they have purchased

  • Proactively identifies potential service issues and takes steps to resolve those service issues that arise

  • Takes the lead on management of the integration of client s and Aetna s internal organizations, with full responsibility for ensuring a smooth installation that will be a building block to gaining the trust of key client personnel

  • Educates customer on Aetna specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current topics

  • Has a deep and demonstrable understanding of our underwriting/pricing methodology

  • Ensures they actively treat customers fairly (TCF) and support/ drive any TCF initiative

Background/Experience Desired:

• Has a proven track record of working in a client facing environment

• Target driven and able to demonstrate meeting and/or exceed targets

• Excellent negotiation and consultative selling skills and experience

• Proven experience of client development planning

• Must have proven IPMI or PMI experience ideally in different countries in Europe

Educational Requirements:

• Educated to a Degree

• Bi-Lingual English and German/ French or Italian
