This position is responsible for conducting analysis of complex and varied healthcare data to assess health and economic outcomes of Aetna products and programs. The position requires working independently to complete detailed customer analysis and present findings to both internal and external audiences.
Working within the Aetna Plan Sponsor Analytics group, the successful candidate will ensure that we are providing best in class analytic consulting services to Aetna's customers. The position develops tactical and strategic plans to satisfy customer information needs across products and is responsible for seeing the story in the numbers and evaluating alternative actions. The consultant will work closely with customers and Aetna colleagues to maintain and fulfill an analytic agenda of strategic analyses based in medical, pharmacy and behavioral health claim data.
5+ years of health data analytic experience. Claims data preferred.
Demonstrated project management and/or team lead experience.
Demonstrated extensive and diverse knowledge of health care data, metrics, systems and standards. Able to make sound decisions and recommendations to drive business solutions.
Advanced skill level with MS Office Programs: Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
SAS is preferred.
Business Intelligence tools.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
