Aetna Senior Clinical Analytics Product Owner in New York, New York

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner with a clinical analytics background to create and lead the strategy for ActiveHealth's CareEngine health care analytic platform and will be responsible for the acceleration of ActiveHealths revenue growth, medical cost savings, customer satisfaction and loyalty.

The successful candidate will be a thought leader with deep product management expertise and will be a self-starter with a passion for health care analytics and the power of data that will transform the lives of health-conscious consumers, the employers they work for, and the providers that help them. You will have proven analytical capabilities, strong persuasive writing skills, deep technology understanding, broad business experience and the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment that combines new product development with mature enterprise technology.

Fundamental Components:

Define our partnership vision, strategy and design, implement and manage new alliance relationships.

Drive accelerated revenue growth of the $100 million product suite in concert with the Senior Vice President of Clinical Analytics by defining the strategy and vision for the product roadmap, prioritizing development of features that will enable growth of revenue, and anticipating and successfully addressing business and regulatory issues that will impact product growth and risk to revenue.

Appropriately balance risks of speed to market with delivering in a complex, highly regulated industry. As working with the exchange of PHI is highly sensitive and regulated given HIPAA and other rules, the senior product owner must work with product owners, legal and compliance to balance desires for innovative consumer solutions with the need for compliance.

Lead highly complex projects that directly impact risk to CareEngine revenue growth.

Leverage industry expertise to assist in both the anticipation and solution of highly complex problems that impact CareEngine revenue and growth.

Leverage and influence Sr. leadership, technical leaders internally, alliance partner companies as you evangelize CareEngine as the marketplace thought leader.

Research and test opportunities pursued are technically feasible, strategically aligned and, most importantly, raising the bar on the ActiveHealth customer and member experience.

Responsible for translating the customer voice as you work with design, technical and business leaders to set strategy and define products.

Responsible for leading tactical execution, including working with business analysts on requirements writing, prioritization, measuring success metrics, and working with go-to-market team members.

Understand and ensure the complex legal, regulatory, compliance, and global information security requirements are followed and risk is mitigated through planning, and enforcing checks and balances.

Define and manage the roadmap, balancing needs of customers (internal and external), technology teams and business development partners.

Design product strategies that comply with complex legal, regulatory, compliance and global information security requirements in the healthcare industry.

Manage the execution of initiatives from idea through launch, while setting and managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders.


10+ years of experience in product management in large scale software development projects

BS preferred in a computer science or engineering related discipline

Experience working in clinical analytics as a Product Manager

Experience working with EMR vendors preferred

Familiarity with healthcare data, data standards and healthcare APIs

Experience in Agile, lean startup product management


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
