POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Specialist is part of the Aetna Medicaid RFP and Business Development team. This person plays a critical role in the development of all Medicaid proposals. Medicaid is the fastest growing segment of the health care industry. Aetna Medicaid's business unit is growing as well. This job offers the right candidate the opportunity to participate in our efforts to improve the health and lives of the nation's most vulnerable citizens through our managed Medicaid contracts with states while at the same time learning highly valuable job skills.

Fundamental Components:

The RFP Technical Specialist is responsible for project management of all proposal appendices and related deliverables, such as financial and legal documentation. The Technical Specialist is also responsible for leading appendices review meetings and coordinating all of the logistics involved in response production, including printing and shipping.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Administer RFP SharePoint sites, including proposal document management, based on project need. Develop response-specific tools and templates for proposal creation and management in accordance with state RFP requirements. Prepare and build final materials for submission, including print documents and electronic media. Work with external printing and shipping vendors.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

The successful candidate must be organized, excellent at verbal and written communication, able to juggle multiple priorities, skilled at time management, detail-oriented and fast learners who thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 4-6 years of experience in Microsoft Word, 1-3 years experience in Microsoft SharePoint and 1-3 years experience in Adobe Acrobat.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
