California Medicaid, Manager, Reporting & Business Information Mgmt & Analysis

Position Summary:

The Manager, Reporting and Business Information Mgmt & Analysis, formulates and implements information strategy to support operational objectives and other strategic business initiatives. Provide technology strategy, direction, management and support to business systems delivery and maintenance. Develops and maintains standards for data integrity, corrective actions, database alignment, and manages communication processes with other departments regarding database improvements.

Fundamental Components:

(*) Directs the implementation and delivery of information and transaction products through education, user technology, organizational methods and procedures.

(*) Oversees and or assists staff with creating complex queries, complex technical programming, and complex applications.

(*) Influences change/enhancements to business processes, policies and system infrastructure to improve information quality, availability and access.

(*) Anticipates potential impacts of infrastructure, application and environmental changes to supported and related systems. Plays leadership role in Infrastructure driven initiatives, providing technical and analytical guidance to customers, peers and other teams.

(*) Remains continuously aware of business, technical, architecture and infrastructure products and issues. Works cross-functionally to evaluate new projects and determine their impact on the enterprise computing environments.

(*) Manages team projects, people, customer expectations and business priorities to achieve constituent satisfaction.

(*) Responsible for team commitments to quality and on-time deliverables.

(*) Manages and builds a strong team through formal training, diverse assignments, coaching, mentoring and other development techniques.

(*) Makes recommendations about data collection methods, metrics definition and evaluation methods.

(*) Participates in internal and external health industry development efforts (e.g., performance measures, transaction standards).

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

(*) 4+ years of data interpretation and analysis experience.

(*) 4-6 years SQL experience and other reporting tools

(*) Multiple years Management experience required.

(*) Project/program/process management experience.

(*) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

(*) Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
