POSITION SUMMARY

An Account Director is responsible for successfully managing an assigned group of customers that results in high customer satisfaction, retention of membership/premium and achievement of growth targets.

Fundamental Components:

Working with an extended Service Team, the Account Director is responsible for the leading the overall business plan for an assigned group of Public and Labor customers. This entails the development and execution of a business plan. Account Directors will spend a significant amount of time planning, coordinating and communicating across the extended account team to ensure service excellence and business goals are achieved. Account Directors are advanced students of the business, i.e., are well informed and anticipate their customers needs, abreast of the changing industry and understand the purchasing and decision making process of Public and Labor customers, and are well versed in Aetna's products/services. A key component of the position requires the ability to effectively manage in a complex sales and service environment.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Life and Health Insurance License; 5-10 Years Sales & Service/Account Management experience; strong industry knowledge; proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office; strengths in leadership, anticipation, collaboration, planning, and problem resolution.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
