Aetna Customer Account Associate in Sugar Land, Texas

The Customer Account Associate will support the account team who directly services our customers. Duties will include preparing reports for customer meetings, producing documents in Word, Excel, Power Point and any other requests required to support customer service. Other duties may include assisting with open enrollment, ordering supplies, arranging for meetings, and administrative duties upon request.

Fundamental Components:

Customer Focus:

Works internally supporting the service team to achieve a superior level of customer satisfaction including the following projects:

Presentations for customer meetings; finals meetings; internal staff meetings

Assist with distribution of network and field communications

Identify and order plan sponsor market materials for open enrollment and daily needs

Assist with open enrollment meetings, health fairs and client meetings (as needed)

Business Segment:

Acts as manager delegate for HR processes in eService

System Access Reviews; ARIBA approvals; organizational hierarchy updates; I-9 champion for new hires; new hire installation; office set-up; time and attendance; manager expense reports; SARS and RBAC model coordination

Daily roles and responsibilities:

General office assistance including copying, faxing, printing, collating and binding

Triage telephone calls, ensuring that timely and appropriate action is taken

Demonstrate ability to produce variety of correspondence, reports and presentations using appropriate software

Coordinate meetings as directed by service team, including meeting locations and management, food presentations, etc.

Set-up and maintains share point sites; distribution lists in Outlook

Coordinate special projects as directed by service team

Participate in activities associated with Aetna's Record Retention and Management Policies

Show evidence of cost effective purchasing within company and business unit's guidelines.

Demonstrate knowledge of business operations, organization and processes, (e.Service and purchasing requests)

Maintains marketing and sponsorship annual budget documentation


Associate or Bachelor's Degree required.

Mature, poised, and willing to work hard to learn the business of health benefit plans.

Enjoys working with people and enjoys working independent and in a team environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Work, Excel, and Power Point.

Flexible and Patient

Strong communication skills


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
