This position is responsible for supporting development and pricing of Medicare products for MAPD plans, including DSNP. Associate will be responsible for supporting the product management team in the development of benefit analysis, competitive analysis, and CMS required member communications, as well as understand and implement program changes and best practices at Aetna.

Fundamental Components:

-Assist in the annual bid process, including working closely with other areas pre and post-bid (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Corporate Product, etc.) to monitor and oversee implementation of products.-Support analysis of CMS regulations to support impact analyses and identification of implications to product strategy / market position / etc.-Demonstrate strong communication skills (both verbal and written), including ability to synthesize data to support Executive Communications.-Strong interpersonal, negotiating and diplomatic skills required to effectively manage relationships with diverse internal and external contacts.-Leverages in-depth knowledge and understanding of products across functions and market segments in directing the development and implementation of new product initiatives, including product enhancements. -Seek and maintain comprehensive understanding of internal and external environmental influences and competitive pressures (Competitive analyses) to develop and enhance product portfolio. Consult / drive effective product offerings to customers to meet organizational goals. -Anticipate resource needs, set priorities, establish accountabilities, define roles/responsibilities and manage relationships to secure necessary resources not under direct control. -Directs the development of training materials for internal audiences related to new product roll-out. May support sales teams as subject matter expert. -Interprets legislative, competitive and industry issues to recommend new products or product enhancements. -Establish and manage large (or significant) cross-functional development and implementation work groups.

This position is responsible for ensuring projects surrounding member materials (Summary of Benefits, Evidence of Coverage, etc.) being created, proofed, approved, submitted to CMS and mailed to the member are completed timely and accurately. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring changes to product benefits and vendors are implemented flawlessly and on time.


3 years of related industry experience

3 years of Medicare advantage industry experience

3 years of Project Management experience


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
