Aetna Sr Application Support Analyst in Alpharetta, Georgia

Position Summary:

Candidates must be able to work in the Alpharetta GA office only.

The Senior Application Support Analyst will be responsible for managing the Population health Management IT systems which are used in providing personalized insights & resources to our members to achieve their best health. The analyst will support the applications through incident management and problem management processes, handle the service requests and ensure the optimum reliability and availability of the systems. The Application Support Analyst will be responsible for executing processes using the tool, managing data, analyze and solve the issues and delivering results to the stakeholders in the platform.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the application support and operations work stream which will include incident management, troubleshooting through data and code analysis and handling service requests.

Day to day management and support of the IT systems

Work with business areas to define and synthesize requirements for service requests

Work with release team to coordinate releases and resolve other platform issues

Perform data integrity checks and cleanup

Run data feed imports and exports to and from various interfacing systems

Support the business processes

Work with other technology areas to implement system integration between the upstream/downstream systems

Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders and end users

Support & troubleshoot the interaction with the third party systems integrations working with corresponding vendor teams.

Work with additional stakeholders such as Global Security, Business Continuity, Compliance, Internal Audit, and others to support needs related to the platform

Create end-user documentation

Assist the end-users and power users on how to use the system

Background/Experience Desired:

4+ years work experience that reflects a proven track record or proficiency in the competencies noted below -

Experience as Application Support Specialist, or equivalent work experience and associated knowledge.

Technical skillset required Java J2EE, JBOSS, Linux, Oracle DB, PL/SQL

Exposure to support processes, incident management, problem management

Working knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow, CA Agile Central, SPLUNK

Ability to communicate technical concepts in plain language

Knowledge of structured IT application development lifecycles and methodologies

Ability to recognize complex problems vs. objectives and apply creativity to analyze situations, develop solutions, and procedures

Education:

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Technology Experiences:

Technical - Development Languages/Java 2 Enterprise Edition/4-6 Years/System Support

Technical - Database/Oracle/4-6 Years/System Support

Technical - Operating Systems/Linux/1-3 Years/System Support
