Aetna Medical Economics Senior Consultant in Atlanta, Georgia

Build and maintain complex medical cost reports. Work with marketsto explain the results and to build new reports and drill downs. This position often involves working on complexprojects involving multiple resources and tasks, providing support of businessobjectives.
This position requires strongSQL skills as well as business and analytical skills, including the ability tointerpret results, conduct drilldowns, and explain results. The successfulcandidate will be writing SQL to develop medical cost reporting, and will workwith business users to define specs and build reports. They will also doanalytical work to identify and understand medical cost issues. Supportcustomers by performing and building drill down capabilities into existingreports. Work with customers to ensure they understand results and that theyhave access to additional information when needed. Work with groups to analyzemedical cost issues.
Advanced SQLprogramming skills, SAS programming and macro skills a big plus.
Strong analyticalability and familiarity with advanced healthcare claims data.
Knowledge ofNetezza and SqlServer is a plus.
Experience building complex reports based on business defined specifications.
Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and comfortable working with a team thatis not co-located;
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently;
Strong communication skills.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is aBachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
