Aetna Actuarial Consultant (Cred) in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania

This position is to support Program and Provider Value Based and Strategic Contracting Analysis, where our main functions are as follows:
1) Measure performance of our value based programs,
2) Mine performance data for actionable information (e.g. characteristics of successful providers, modify incentives, etc.),
3) Develop new value based reimbursement models , and
4) Provide analytic and financial support for advanced partnerships (i.e. unusual and complicated arrangements).
This position will provide support for the above activities by manipulating data, performing analysis, and creating financial models.
The primary responsibilities in this role will be focused on data collection and manipulation, financial modeling, and various ad hoc analysis. In addition this position provides an opportunity to:
1) Develop a deep understanding of provider reimbursement methods and value based contracts,
2) Develop an external perspective of how our providers view reimbursement, and
3) Gain exposure to clinical levers to improve performance.
Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 1+ year(s) actuarial work experience.
Critical thinking skills.
Project management skills.
Must have passed a minimum of 2 actuarial exams
SAS / other programming experience would be helpful, but is not required.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
