POSITION SUMMARY

Aetna's new digital product team, Aetna Digital, is pioneering a new way for users to manage their healthcare. This isn't your parents' health insurance: were a nimble, startup-like team of hungry, quirky, and digitally-savvy product experts using the latest technology like biometrics, machine learning, wearables, and other buzzwords to usher in new and thoughtful experiences to the millions who rely on us to help them make decisions about their health.

But we need help! Were looking for a Production Designer to help us re-shape healthcare for America. Youll be the operational magic that helps us do what we do best. This is a perfect job for someone right out of design school, or an experienced designer looking to break into the product design space.

Fundamental Components:

What Youll Do

Produce a variety of high-fidelity creative work in support of the Design and Product teams, including iOS, Android, and web screens and assets, product demos, prototypes, and more?Work with interaction and visuals designers, and developers to determine best way to bring your work to life?Design with usability in mind and in service of a problem; dont just make things look pretty?Maintain our Sketch files and assist in supporting the maintenance and iteration of our design system?Manage our teams InVision account and its prototypes?Become intimately familiar with and a resource for our brand and content guidelines?Be intellectually curious and a tireless team player?

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Need-To-Haves

At least 0-2 years of experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, art director, or similar role?Experience using Sketch, Invision, and Zeplin/Sympli?Experience designing for web and native (iOS and Android) interfaces?An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience in production-quality web or native designs, redlining, annotation, or similar?A passion for pixel perfection?Knowledge of usability principles and techniques?Solid communication, professional, and interpersonal skills?A hunger to learn how to take designs from concept to launch?Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment?Experience with/writing UI copyExperience using or familiar with git/GitHub

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
