Leveraging your expertise in Big Data, IoT, Native Cloud Engineering, Machine Learning or Current Architectural Patterns, you will join the product team that will deliver the platform that will disrupt the healthcare industry and improve the lives of hundreds of millions of people. The Senior Director of Business Development (This is not a sales role , but a role that is part of strategy & product mgmt.) is a new and important role within the Aetna Digital organization. The mission of this role is to transform health and wellness with digital products that compel consumer engagement and create a best-in-class experience. This very senior position is responsible for managing the Aetna Digital ecosystem of platform-technology and health-technology partners. This ecosystem will enable a platform that will support accelerated development and delivery of new clinical and well-being services, leverage modern native-cloud architectures, advanced analytics, and IoT data streams.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high potential partners Vet inbound partnering opportunities Work collaboratively with Corporate Development on relevant, strategic investments Accelerate product roadmaps by partnering and sourcing multiple enabling technologies Drive vendor evaluation and contracts in close cooperation with Procurement Articulate ecosystem value and strategy to business stakeholders at all levels of the organization Collaborate across organizations to align engagement with common partners Potentially lead a high-performing business development team Evangelize and represent the Aetna Digital organization across functions and with executive leaders
Proven experience leading business development teams and partner ecosystems Digital healthcare experience highly desired Literacy in Cloud Computing and Cloud-based services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS Experience leading change in markets that are in transition Passion for health and wellness 10+ years of management experience, particularly in product development, product management, and/or business development Highly refined verbal and written communication skills Ability to deliver convincing business case recommendations to executive teams Demonstrated collaborative style, with ability to lead and influence diverse teams
Start-up mentality and desire to innovate at a fast pace Strong critical thinker who makes balanced, insightful decisions Ability to recruit top talent and motivate the team Seen as credible source of technology leadership Ability to engage in an Agile development environment Maintain strong relationships across key stakeholders and constituents
Although geography is flexible, high preference is for the candidate to work in our Burlington, MA facility
Frequent travel may be required at times
Bachelors degree required Highly desired MBA or MS in computer science, engineering or related technology discipline
