Aetna Digital, a newly formed startup style unit within Aetna, will design, build and deliver completely new and integrated digital experiences for our users. In addition, it has embarked on a major initiative to redesign and rebuild many of its customer facing digital assets. This effort will include a completely new approach to building software within Aetna, using the latest design approaches, technologies, and processes.

Fundamental Components:

The Senior Director of Strategy and Product Management is a new and important role within the Aetna Digital organization. The mission of this role is to transform health and wellness with digital products that compel consumer engagement and create a best-in-class experience. This very senior position is responsible for product strategy, roadmap, and execution in the following areas:

Cloud Platform - new platform that will support accelerated development and delivery of new clinical and well-being services; leveraging modern native-cloud architectures, analytics, and IoT; supporting elastic demand, high security, and 24x7x365 resilience Services Development work closely with Clinical teams that develop offerings on the Platform, understand their requirements, and drive product plans and priorities which enable these teams to: 1) provide personalized recommendations to employees, members, and consumers so they can achieve their health ambitions, and improve their health and well-being, 2) which leverage the services of Aetna partners, wearable devices, content providers and the broader health care ecosystem, and 3) which deliver innovative capabilities utilizing Aetna's compelling intellectual property and strategic partnerships with renowned research institutions. Recruit and build high-performing, multi-level product teams Drive key portfolio decisions and priorities, working in close alignment with senior business leaders Present portfolio, strategy and organization to customers, partners, and execs Define, articulate, and champion business cases for new investments Deliver world-class, integrated digital consumer experiences Ensure resource investments deliver the highest levels of quality and value to internal and external users Collaborate closely with leaders across enterprise functions Provide inspirational leadership across large numbers of agile teams, bringing a spirit of purpose, intensity, collaboration, transparency, accountability and fun BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired: Proven experience leading large product management organizations, balancing product portfolio investments, and bringing consumer facing products to market Digital healthcare experience highly desired Experience leading change in markets that are in transition Passion for health and wellness 10+ years of senior management experience or equivalent, particularly in product management and product development Highly refined verbal and written communication skills Ability to deliver convincing business case recommendations to executive teams Demonstrated collaborative style, with ability to lead and influence diverse teams Critical Skills/Competencies Start-up mentality and desire to innovate at a fast pace Strong critical thinker who makes balanced, insightful decisions Ability to recruit top talent and motivate the team Seen as credible source of technology leadership Ability to thrive in a fully SAFE-Agile development environment Maintain strong relationships across key stakeholders and constituents

EDUCATION Master's degree.
