Position Summary:

Work under Aetnas Consumer Health Services Analytics Team to create cutting edge analytic tools to drive better and faster decision making within the organization. Responsible for Marketing Analytics in the creation, validation and deployment of information products. Drive marketing campaigns to acquire new and retain existing members. Develop and use algorithms and statistical predictive models to determine analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes. Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques, mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the organization/industry. Collaborate with business partners to understand their problems and goals, solve business questions, and help them to achieve goals by performing statistical analysis and developing predictive modeling, data reports and performance metrics. Responsible for developing and participating in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions. Interact with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization. Work with algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions. Use programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms and communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE required:

Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics or closely related.

Minimum two years of statistical analysis experience either in role offered or as a Data or Programming Analyst. Must have at least two years of experience building, implementing and validating statistical models, performing exploratory data analysis, and reporting results. Requires experience with Linear and Non-Linear Regression Models; GLM and Survival Models; time series; data mining such as dimension reduction, missing data imputation, and feature selection; and model based strategy decision such as campaign design, model performance evaluation, and benefit estimation. Must have experience with SQL queries; RDBMS such as Oracle or Teradata; Linux/Unix; Python coding; R programming; and SAS.
