Aetna Digital - AHM is looking for Quality Advisor / Mgr. with experience of working in fast paced (startup like) environment. You will be primarily responsible for Overall testing delivery and quality for the identified Value Stream (VS) and will be providing thought leadership, coaching across our agile teams with regard to Quality approach, planning, coordination, framework, and toolset. Experience of working as part of a scrum team, with team leadership skills is critical.

Fundamental Components:

Participate in PI/Quarterly planning to provide input and guidance on quality approach for the release / increment

Work with Engineering Mgrs. and Quality Engineers to understand testing related challenges, dependencies, and facilitate solution or surface appropriately within the VS and across other Value Streams for collective planning/brainstorming

Identify and manage inter-team dependencies of within the scrum teams and outside of the value stream

Responsible for managing testing risks and its' mitigation at value stream level

Work with Engineering Leads and teams to contribute towards sizing and grooming considerations from Quality perspective

Responsible for creating and implementing test strategy applicable to their respective value stream

Help teams think through and establish Quality Engineering best practices

Review Quality artifacts and provide coaching and feedback

Accountable for thought leadership, mentorship, and coaching of agile team members with regard to Quality Engineering

Support for driving PROD checkouts

Responsible for mentoring, and identifying professional development needs for QE members

Being the primary QA point of contact for the value stream - should provide QA technical expertise and ensure appropriate testing techniques are used for early detection of defects

The ability to decide the code promotion to higher environments understanding the risk/benefit factors at value stream level and should have experiences in mitigating last minute issues.

Lead the quality analysis and risk assessment for critical and complex technical projects spanning multiple service teams and businesses. This includes analyzing requirements, assessing testability, identifying automation opportunities and designing test strategies for projects where the work will be run by multiple businesses in parallel.

Facilitate in implementing overarching QA best practices and hygiene factors within their value stream

Work with Eng. Mgrs. to identify desired T-Shaped skill set for the QEs



Experience in delivery of test (automation) solutions over various platforms, framework Behavior Driven(BDD), Test Driven(TDD), Rest/SOAP service, Client Server, Web, Hybrid and Native Mobile Apps

Strong exposure in multi-tier architecture and digital technologies

Experience/knowledge with CI/CD


Communicate and coordinate and align the automation strategy with the engineering team members, make recommendations to improve reliability, performance, best practices and processes

Experience with Agile/SAFe Software Development Principles

Strong Analytical, Technical, and Problem solving skills

Excellent written & verbal communication and organizational skills



The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
