This newly created position within Aetna International organization will lead the development and implementation of best practice methodologies, tools, and processes utilized in reserving, forecasting, pricing, and analytics. This role is fundamental in enabling Aetna Internationals efficiency with which the business is managed and expanded into new market opportunities.
Foster behavior that reflects Aetna's values and is in accordance with all aspects of the Aetna Way.
Lead/manage projects established to support strategic objectives while motivating cross function resources within and outside direct reporting line to complete projects.
Lead the development of best practice processes and infrastructure to measure, understand and monitor business unit results. Partner with underwriting, controllers, operations, and business finance teams around the world to understand and account for nuances of different markets and deliver on overall objectives.
Exhibit innovative use of resources and develop creative technical solutions utilizing next generation technological capabilities. Develop business cases that manage cost to implement and prioritize changes to processes, tools and systems. Present to senior management for approval and execute on delivery and implementation.
Play a key role in the development and growth of other team members.
7+ years related work experience.
-Bachelors degree required
-Fellow of the Society of Actuaries is preferred
-Member of the American Academy of Actuaries is required
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Experience with forecasting, pricing, and reserving is preferred
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
