POSITION SUMMARY
Accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing management of Aetna Better Health of IL's NCQA reaccreditation project which impacts process, product, and function; the project will run continually in duration.
Fundamental Components:
Develops and implements strategic project plans to achieve business goals
Proactively leads the Plan's NCQA project, and other projects as assigned, by setting direction of project, creating and maintaining project plan, timeline identifying key milestones, and resources needed to achieve project goals
Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing projects, services, and workflows based on broad view of the organization
Solicits and evaluates internal and external customer feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement
Responsible for managing the budget and/or financial implications of assigned projects
Group facilitation influencing cross-functional/segment and external parties (e.g., vendor management)
Identifies issues that may stall or delay project and addresses them by resolving the issue(s) or creating an alternative solution, escalates issues as appropriate with recommendation of possible solutions
Tracks progress and communicates project(s) status on a regular basis to the NCQA Oversight Committee and impacted parties
Builds communication plans for education, milestone status, issue resolution, implementation and execution to ensure all impacted parties (up stream, down stream, and horizontal) are informed and up to date on barriers and next steps with clear deadlines
Effectively and concisely communicates with all levels of the organization; ability to summarize information succinctly
Ability to hold meetings that achieve meeting goals within schedule timeframe
May mentor and informally manage others to achieve project goals
Advocates for change that may require influencing others to see the value in project, goals and milestones including managing interpersonal sensitivities and articulating the strategic view to ensure project alignment and project success
Exhibits strong organization, communication (verbal and written), and leadership (influence and motivate others to achieve goals/milestones) skills
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
NCQA experience strongly preferred to successfully lead this cross-functional project
Proven track record in meeting project milestones, deadlines, and negotiating for resources
Proven communication skills both written and verbal
Past experience includes development and management of budgets
Past positions required acting as a project lead, directing a cross-functional team that did not report directly to you
Proven ability to affect change, strong interpersonal skills to mitigate or resolve conflict, and motivate others
Solid Project Management and (direct or indirect) supervisory skills
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Project Management/Project Management Professional, PMP is desired
Project Management/Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is desired
