This position is in-office in Chicago, IL or Hartford, CT
Provide a wide variety of administrative support for a manager, multiple managers or departments. Compose
correspondence, compile & analyze data, manage calendar and is a delegate for Manager activities in eService.
Fundamental Components include, but are not limited to:
Screens telephone calls, answers routine questions and furnishes information
Opens, sorts, distributes, scans, organizes, prioritizes and responds to mail
Coordinates calendars; scheduling meetings, room reservations, hospitality arrangements
Operates and maintains various office equipment
Orders and maintains office supplies
Significant portion of duties may be in support of basic technical discipline (e.g., sales, underwriting, network, etc.)
Organizes and maintains files of supervisor's correspondence, records etc. following up on pending matters
Coordinates land and air travel arrangements
Produces a variety of correspondence, reports, and presentations using the appropriate software
Delegate for Manager Activities in eService/Captura (i.e. HR changes, Time and Attendance etc.)
Collects, compiles, and analyzes data and provides summaries and observations to manager
Budget coordinator: monitors, tracks, and researches
Assists in preparing required budget reporting (e.g., variance, LE's)
May participate in special projects
Significant portion of duties may be in support of advanced technical discipline (e.g., sales, underwriting, network,
Coordinates office facilities including space, lease, furniture, equipment, building and telephone system maintenance
Involved in HR activities for the unit including; job posting, recruiting, interview process, new hire installation, office
setup, annual comp process, organization hierarchy, time and attendance, etc.)
Mentors less experienced administrative support staff
1-3 years administrative or technical support experience; required
Strong Microsoft Office skills; required
1-3 years of administrative assistant, project coordinator, or project manager experience; strongly preferred
Candidate must be a self starter, problem solver and eager to learn; required
The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree.
