The Operational Reporting and Analytics team within MEU is responsible for operational measurement and analysis for all Care Management programs. This position will act as the analytic lead for complex projects involving multiple resources and tasks, providing support of business objectives. This position is responsible for maintaining operational reports by understanding business requirements, program data sources and coding. Owning the oversight of the operational results and reporting processes as well as consulting with Program Design, Operations, Underwriting and Quality Management. Collaboration with external customer and project team will be a main part of this position. Furthermore, it will support efforts to drive continuous improvement.
Key components of this position include: Proactively leading assigned projects by creating project timelines, identifying key milestones and issues that may stall assigned projects and working with manager to address them. The candidate should have demonstrated skills in documenting detailed requirements, data gathering, interpretation, analysis and presentation. Expertise in PC SAS, SAS EG, Access and Excel is required. Knowledge of Tableau is desired. Knowledge of Aetna Care Management data is a plus. Excellent understanding of the care management programs, attention to detail and delivering accurate requirements on time is essential. The candidate should have a strong passion for data integrity with an eye for detail, but also be in tune with the big picture. This individual should understand their audience and associated work processes to be able to effectively turn business requirements into meaningful information. Expectations are that this individual will have solid verbal and written communication skills to facilitate independent follow through on process questions, to influence problem resolution, and potentially communicate directly with external plan sponsors.
7-10 years experience in health care with accountability for business results is required; Knowledge of Aetna managed care programs/initiatives is a plus; Intermediate SAS programming experience; Technical proficiency using tools such as Tableau, MS Access, and MS Excel is a plus; Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and comfortable working with a team that is not co-located. Strong communication skills
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
