Position Summary/Mission: This position is responsible for the design,implementation and engineering support for Aetna/PDCHS F5 Load Balancing and Application Delivery network infrastructure. The Engineer Advisor position would collaboratively work with team members to support Aetna/Affiliate application load balancing, F5 application security suite of products and public Cloud design/support.
Design and configurations are in conformance to best network engineering practices and accordance with Aetna Security policies and standards.
This position also requires a high service level attitude to deliver a 7X24 highly available, high performing and highly scalable F5 load balancing network.
This position also requires the following:
High level of customer service and communication skills.
Team player who can also work independently in managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
Good knowledge of load balancing,network security, routing, DNS and enterprise network tools.
Project - Enhancements to existing environment, new products and evaluations, M&A's, etc.= 10%
Life-cycle replacement - replace/upgrade existing architecture as part of vulnerability and on-going tech refresh management. = 25%
Business support - serve as SME for business/application enhancements/projects. = 15%
Production support - on-call, break-fix = 50%
Background/Experience desired: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering. 5-7 year's experience in network, application load-balancing, or information security infrastructure support. Experience working in a large enterprise and regulated entity working with sensitive data.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Information Technology/Cisco Certified Inter - network Expert (CCIE) is desired
Information Technology/Sniffer Certified Expert (SCE) - Sniffer Certified Professional Program is desired
