POSITION SUMMARY

This position is office based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Consumer Health & Services is a newly formed division of Aetna with the ambition of improving health and reducing costs for everyone through world-class digital products based on cutting edge analytics to influence consumer and provider behavior.

One of the company's highest priority initiatives is to create new consumer-facing applications that are data-driven and real-time to help achieve better health and cost outcomes. This role will be at the front-and-center of this initiative, creating user experiences that solve real health challenges for millions of people.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops comprehensive view of the customer through qualitative and quantitative analysis

  • Collaborates with product managers and developers on feature exploration and development

  • Develops process flow diagrams to illustrate user decisions and journeys

  • Develops UI mockups to illustrate UX recommendations

  • Understands and integrates common mobile & watch user behavior patterns into UX designs

  • Works with user research lab to integrate customer & market feedback into design

  • Works with usability lab to schedule and drive usability testing

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

  • Experience working with user research methods and tools

  • 5+ years of professional UI/UX experience with a track record connecting research to product

  • Proven record of integrating customer feedback into product development

  • Experience going through product usability testing cycles

  • Educational background that links market and customer behaviors to product development

  • Healthcare or health-related application experience a big plus

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
