Strategic Initiatives Lead POSITION SUMMARY

Strategic Project Management role focused on International s Healthcare Management. Lead strategic initiatives across all areas of HCM - Care Management, Network, Informatics, and Medical Cost Containment Fundamental Components & Physical Requirements include but are not limited to (* denotes essential functions)· Develops and implements strategic functional plans to achieve overall and regional business goals. · Manage multiple, complex cross-functional projects for all functional areas. · Should be a natural leader who is able to influence change, make decisions with confidence – strong solution oriented and problem solving skills. · Excellent communication skills – must be able to clearly understand and communicate the goals of the HCM organization in order to drive our business goals. · Comfortable working across and collaborating with other functional areas, managers and SLT members. · Proactively leads a program and/or most complex projects by setting strategic direction. · Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing healthcare programs, services and workflows based on broad view of the organization. · Collaborates and partners with other functional managers, other business areas across/within segments or other business areas to ensure all workflow processes and interdependencies are identified and addressed. · Consults with constituents (these may be internal and/or external) to scope/define project.· Influences change in order to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services. · Obtains financial support for most complex projects or supports this work as it relates to program management. · Collaboratively works across multiple functions and /or segments to obtain agreement from all impacted parties (e.g., up and downstream effects often impact multiple functions and/or segments. · Responsible for development and implementation of new ideas that supports work/team. • Cross function/segment group facilitation/presentation. · An opportunity to collaborate and create with some of the coolest, most interesting people in Aetna International · Right-hand person to Head of International HCM organization Background/Experience Desired• Proven track record in meeting project milestones and negotiating for resources.• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal. • Past experience includes development of budgets, acting as project lead and directing a team. Proven ability to affect change/interpersonal skills. • Solid Project Management skills with at least 7-10 years of strategic project management experience.• Sound organization skills with high attention to detail.
