Aetna International vHealth – Clinical Writer Aetna International has launched vHealth in India and is planning to launch it UAE and Thailand. vHealth is an innovative virtual primary care service that will deliver care to the best possible clinical standards based on the latest evidence-based practice. The Clinical Writer will play a crucial role in developing the vHealth clinical standards, guideline and protocols that will guide the delivery of care to Aetna members across the globe. Aim and purpose of the positionLead and manage the central repository of clinical, standards, guildelines and protocols required to deliver virtual primary care delivery globally.Main duties· Research and assess the suitability of the latest clinical evidence-base from validated international sources to identify relevant, appropriate and up-to-date clinical literature to support effective delivery of vHealth services· Develop standardized methodology and templates to capture clinical standards, guidelines and protocols in an appropriate format to support end-to-end clinical delivery in a consistent manner· Work with the local vHealth clinical teams to develop a list of target conditions / diseases amenable to virtual care for which clinical standards, guideline and protocols will be developed· Write, edit, maintain and update the central repository of clinical standards, guidelines and protocols to enable clinicians to deliver high clinical standards throughout the portfolio of vHealth services across the world· Work with local clinical teams to understand where regionalization and customization of the central repository is necessary and support implementation of adaptations.· Work with the central and local operations teams to ensure that clinical and patient management systems have updated clinical standards, guideline and protocols to enable streamlined care delivery by front-line clinicians · Monitor and share the emerging scientific literature and evidence-base relevant to virtual health care · Support the Global Medical Director for vHealth to obtain approval for proprietary set of clinical standards, guideline and protocols developed as a result of the process above· Collect, analyze and incorporate feedback from the global clinical leadership team as well as emerging data and trends in the health care environment to continuously improve existing clinical standards, guideline and protocols.· Strong project management skills & experience are a critical requirement. Skills/Qualifications· Bachelor s degree / University degree, preferably in a clinical field, communications, or life science, from an accredited institution. · Significant and proven work experience in medical content creation and publishing, clinical research, or healthcare or scientific grant proposal writing. · Excellent communication and writing skills. Strong analytical skills. · Highly flexible and collaborative; a team player - capable of working with various teams and managing multiple stakeholders. · Experience in a fast-paced and growth environment is a plus. · Up to 10% travel
