Job Description

Join a high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna's government services pharmacy business.

This role supports the Medicare Part D business (MAPD and PDP, Individual and EGWP) by applying quantitative skills and analytical methods. Take full ownership of assigned projects, effectively communicate within and across teams, act as project team lead and subject matter expert. Demonstrate understanding of complex actuarial functions and industry related issues. Influence, recommend and implement actuarial policy and processes. Leverage technical skills and critical thinking to achieve business solutions. Areas of focus may include support of pricing, forecasting, bid/quote processes, formulary/clinical, network and model development.

Medicare Part D business and needs experience talent to help manage this

growing block. We are interested in candidates with pharmacy actuarial

experience. Open to candidates with PBM and/or managed care backgrounds. Responsibilities

include a subset of the following: Formulary Development, Pharmacy Network

Strategy, Pharmacy Utilization Management, Medicare Part D Bid Submission, and

Monthly and Quarterly Forecasting and Variance Analysis.

Qualifications Requirements and Preferences:

Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience

Minimum of ASA (FSA desired)

Previous experience w/pharmacy specific actuarial backgrounds, either from a PBM or managed care organizations

Medicare Part D experience ideal

Strong technical skills; Excel & SAS
