Key role to support and facilitate the development, implementation and management of the new Enterprise Third Party Lifecycle and the Enterprise Third Party Risk Management program. This will define and establish a unified standard approach to how we manage our third party relationships from inception to termination across the enterprise. There will be a keen focus on risk identification, assessment and management. This initiative was recently approved and funded by the Executive Leadership Team. It will report directly to the head of Enterprise Third Party Risk Management within the Operations and Technology organization.

Fundamental Components:

-Provide the subject matter expertise on Third Party (TP) risk issues and support the development and implementation of an Enterprise-wide Third Party Lifecycle and Enterprise-wide Third Party Risk Management (ETPRM) Program (a subset of the TP Lifecycle) to govern the more than 250,000 third party relationships. Lifecycle will span from the early planning phase through contract, management and termination.

-Participate and provide leadership of a cross-functional team comprised of senior business and functional representation including Consumer Health, Institutional, Legal, Finance, ABX, Audit, Operations & Technology, Global Security and others as appropriate

-Serve as a liaison between the line of Business and Corporate Functions to the TPRM program

-Understand the Business and Corporate Functions risk profile and leverage, enhance and consolidate existing risk-based scoring methodology, risk assessment criteria and assessment frequencies

-Provide program management and lead various work streams to ensure key program milestones are met and manage business and stakeholder meetings and support Chair for the Executive Third Party Risk Committee meetings

-Implement and manage the technologies and tools required to manage the ETPRM Program

-Develop management reporting and provide program oversight to ensure adherence and compliance, monitoring, risk escalation and crisis management as may be required

-Develop presentations as needed and on-going communication of program requirements, develop and provide training and training materials and provide reporting and metrics to senior management, relationship managers (RMs) and all other parties associated with the program

-Perform market research and data gathering from various industry, government and trade resources

-Support development of the business case and identify future funding requirements

-Support internal reviews by compliance and audit


-Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in risk management areas of identification/assessment/monitoring/remediation

-Experience in development/management of TP risk program is required

-Demonstrated experience leading/facilitating a large complex project; Strong program management skills/relationship/ communications skills a must

-Experience in a highly regulated industry preferably Health Care/Insurance/Financial Services/Procurement/Vendor Mgmt./Audit


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Procurement/Certified Purchasing Manager is desired

Healthcare Management/Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (HIMSS) is desired

Audit/Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is desired

Project Management/Lean Six Sigma is desired


Functional - Procurement/Procurement - contract negotiations/7-10 Years

Functional - Finance/Procurement Reporting, Analysis & Policy - employee reimbursements/7-10 Years


Technical - Reporting Tools/Oracle Reports/7-10 Years/End User
