This position coordinates responses to the Department of Insurance and works very closely with our Internal Compliance area. This opportunity will allow exposure and ability to interact with a broad variety of Aetna departments, including but not limited to Actuarial, Compliance, Finance and Underwriting. Focus is on compliance measures and implementing and tracking results as well as communicating guidance on legislative changes. Responsibilities include analyzing data pulls, working with all regional underwriting shops to respond to requests, fraud case review, Employee and Employer Forms for all states, and SUN guidelines. Fundamental Components:· Strong organizational skills are needed to pull and analyze data to respond to Department of Insurance requests and Compliance needs. · Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, are critical to deliver information to the regional underwriting teams and coordinate responses for external responses. · Use of Excel and Internal systems are critical to pulling data and interpreting requests. –· Close attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines is needed as requests often have very quick turnaround times and financial penalties apply for missed deadlines.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:· 4-6 years of experience in compliance, federal legislation implementation, and/or underwriting· Strong knowledge of state and federal laws that impact underwriting decisions is required· Previous experience working within small group underwriting is a plus. · Proven track record in meeting project milestones and negotiating for resources. · Proven communication skills both written and verbal · Proven ability to affect change/interpersonal skills Solid Project Management skills · Strong Organizational skills and ability to multi task EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
