This role supports Aetna's ability to achieve the Group Medicare financial and strategic goals of several markets by supporting and driving business actions and financial goals & partners with members of the Market Medicare teams to maintain financial and operational control of the business (including Medicare General Manager, Director of Operations, Actuarial, Network, MEU, & Medical Directors)
Support the Northeast Territory Group Medicare Business through financial analysis and reporting & analysis of key metrics
Evaluate, analyze and present monthly financial results relative to plans and goals, and other benchmark data - Collaborate with members of the Medicare team to suggest, identify, & monitor effective medical cost analysis & savings
Conduct analysis and/or produce reports on an ad hoc basis for strategic needs of market Medicare GMs and other territory constituents
Gain a thorough understanding of the annual underwriting for Group Medicare - Provide robust Annual Enrollment Period reporting - Coordinate with Medicare Finance on Annual Plans and Quarterly Forecasts
Provide financial analysis and recommendations in support of management's evaluation of strategic and business initiatives.
-5+ years related accounting/financial experience
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Power Point required Familiarity with SAS and/or MS Access
-Desired Knowledge of Medicare Advantage helpful
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
